"MORGAN’S CAKE is the story of a young man (Morgan Schmidt-Feng) about to turn 18, and all the problems that are set to befall him. His girlfriend is pregnant, he’s just lost his job, his mother is deserting him for a career move to New York City, and his divorced dad (Willie Boy Walker) can barely afford the small office space in which they live. Morgan’s most pressing problem is whether or not to register for the draft, and Walker, in a bravura performance, shares a real-life story of how he avoided military service in the late 1960’s. So, seriously, this cake is for me. Packed with ripe bananas and some of that amazingly flavorful Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum. Yes, rum. Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is the perfect cooking rum with fall flavors. This is a moist and delicious cake with an incredible creamy frosting with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and more Captain Morgans.
This is a flower nail, it is used to make flowers but it has another function! If you take it and turn it upside down in your baking pan like in the picture below it will help bake your cake so your cake is more likely to come out nice and rounded on top instead of having sinkage in the middle. It will conduct heat to the center of your cake.
